Herefordshire residents are invited to visit the falls prevention event in Hereford High Town from Monday June 26 to Friday June 30.

Jo Burns, falls prevention service lead at Wye Valley NHS Trust, said. “It’s an ideal opportunity for those who are concerned about their own balance or dizziness or those with worries about a friend or relative to have a chat to one of our expert team.”
Team members will be on hand to give free specialist advice and tips on how to prevent falls for adults and check walking aids are appropriate.
To access this specialist advice from the Trust’s falls prevention service, made up of physiotherapists and occupational therapists, just simply turn, there’s no need to make an appointment. The team will be available from 9am to 4pm each day in Hereford, High Town from June 26 to 30.
Jo added “preventing falls can sometimes be making small lifestyle adjustments such as eating a balanced diet to maintain healthy bones, wearing suitable footwear, having a medication review, getting your vision checked and ensuring your home is trip hazard free.”
