Press release – January 29 1019
Admiral’s Café, for carers of people living with dementia, is now meeting monthly at Hereford County Hospital, offering free support, advice and refreshments.
From February, Admiral’s Café will run on the last Monday of each month (Feb 25), rather than weekly, in Spires Restaurant on the first floor of Hereford County Hospital.
The monthly café sessions will run from 2.30pm - 4pm.
Linda Price, Admiral Nurse at Wye Valley NHS Trust, said: “We’re committed to ensuring that caregivers of people living with dementia have access to local support and advice from our admiral nursing service.
“To enable that to continue, with the current demands on the service, the café will open once a month, rather than weekly.
“This means that caregivers can still access this specialist support and advice from our admiral nursing service”.
Admiral’s Café provides a quiet area for caregivers to meet and share their experiences with other carers, whilst having a free cup of tea or coffee, along with access to support and advice from a trained Admiral Nurse.
