Public invited to attend WVT’s virtual Annual General Meeting from the comfort of their own homes
The public are invited to attend Wye Valley NHS Trust’s virtual Annual General Meeting (AGM), on Thursday 22 September at 6pm, from the comfort of their own homes.
The virtual meeting will be streamed live and the meeting link made available on the Trust’s website page www.wyevalley.nhs.uk/about-us/annual-general-meeting
The Trust’s Board will present an overview of the clinical and financial performance during the last twelve months, annual report, and future plans. This includes the recent opening of the new 72 bedded wards at Hereford County Hospital, and plans to open a new elective hub to significantly expand theatre capacity to help to see patients requiring surgery more quickly.
The Trust will also celebrate and recognise the achievements and tremendous efforts of its amazing staff, and show a video of new technologies and work innovations that healthcare staff have introduced to enhance the care and services provided for patients from Herefordshire and Powys.
Russell Hardy, Chairman at Wye Valley NHS Trust, who will chair the meeting, said: “This is a great opportunity to find out about the progress the Trust is making, the significant work that is taking place and our future plans. We hope you can join us at the meeting.
“Although this continues to be a very challenging period for the NHS, our staff and volunteers are an absolute credit to the Trust and they keep our services running 24/7 to ensure patients receive the best possible care. I am extremely proud and grateful to every member of our staff and volunteers for their ongoing dedication to further improve patient care and services and look forwarding to recognising their tremendous efforts at our AGM.
“We will also present a short video about the new technologies and innovations that have been introduced, including improved care for patients with diabetes across Herefordshire, a new Emergency Department pitstop service to help us to see and treat patients more quickly, and the implementation of a £4.9 million energy upgrade project for a greener future. We have also opened state of the art 72 bedded wards, which includes a frailty same day care assessment unit for the specialist care of the frail and elderly, which is a significant achievement.”
The agenda, minutes from last year’s meeting, summary Annual Report and full Annual Report/Accounts will be available prior to the meeting on the Trust’s website www.wyevalley.nhs.uk/about-us/annual-general-meeting
