Public invited to attend WVT’s virtual Public Board Meeting from the comfort of their own homes

Press release – 26 May 2022

Public invited to attend WVT’s virtual Public Board Meeting from the comfort of their own homes

Patients and the public are invited to get a glimpse into the progress and performance of Wye Valley NHS Trust by joining its monthly board meetings from the comfort of their own homes.

The Trust’s Public Board can be watched live and provides an opportunity to hear about the innovative ways local healthcare staff are working to improve patient care and services.

Questions to the Board of directors are welcomed and can either be submitted in advance to Erica.hermon@wvt.nhs.uk or the public can ask a question at the appropriate time during the live meeting.

Supplementary questions can also be submitted up to 48 hours after the meeting has taken place.

The next Public Board meeting takes place on 9 June 2022, 1pm, via MS teams online. For more information, to access the live meeting link or watch the recordings at a later date visit www.wyevalley.nhs.uk/about-us/the-trust-board

Russell Hardy, Chairman at Wye Valley NHS Trust, said: “We’re delighted to invite members of the public, patients and our staff, to join our monthly Public Board meetings.

“Our meetings are open and transparent, and provide a great opportunity to find out how we are performing, what we are doing to further enhance the care and services we provide, including new technologies and innovative ways our staff are working to see and treat patients as quickly as possible.

“Despite the challenges we face, significant work is going on at the Trust and this is thanks to the hard work and dedication of our amazing staff and this is recognised at our Board Meetings with our staff Going the Extra Mile Awards”.

The agenda and minutes from the last meeting are made available on the Trust’s website in advance of the meeting www.wyevalley.nhs.uk/about-us/the-trust-board

There is no need to book a place, just join the meeting online on the 9 June 2022 at 1pm, as detailed above.
