Acquired brain injuries (HABIT)

We are known as HABIT (Herefordshire Brain Injury Team) and uniquely placed in Herefordshire to provide a fully integrated multi-disciplinary approach to our clients. We provide timely assessment to people and carers who have suffered an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) It is recognised that many people with an ABI will have significant life long needs that may require support.

We are a multidisciplinary team and clients will have appropriate access to Specialist Neuro-Occupational Therapists, Specialist Neuro-Physiotherapist, Neuro-Psychologist Social workers and Carer support.

ABI can  include; traumatic brain injury, infection/virus ABI, metabolic ABI, post concussion syndrome, tumour (not grade IV) epilepsy with a residual neurological condition. We will work with you and your carer to increase your functional and psychological wellbeing; to maximize and maintain your function to allow you to live within the community with an appropriate level of support.

Friends and Family Test

The Friends and Family Test is a simple question that patients are asked about the care they have received.  The test is part of a  way of gathering patient feedback and driving improvement in NHS hospital services across the country. To find out more about the Friends and Family Test click here.
