Bladder and bowel health service

Please note that due to the current situation with coronavirus all clinics and home visits by the Bladder and Bowel Health Team have been postponed.  You will be sent a new appointment once the clinics and visits are back up and running.  You do not need to telephone the team to trigger this.  If in the meanwhile you need some advice please call the team on 01432 378933.  If you need advice urgently please call your GP.



The Bladder and bowel health service at Wye Valley NHS Trust is a multidisciplinary team that provides a comprehensive service for patients who are registered with a Herefordshire GP.  This includes:

  • Individual consultations for patients who are referred via the continence pathway
  • Treatment to help patients maintain continence where possible including bladder retraining and Intermittent Self Catheterisation
  • Advise on incontinence products where maintenance of continence is not possible
  • Training and advice to any healthcare professionals who manage patients with continence problems in their caseload

Friends and Family Test

The Friends and Family Test is a simple question that patients are asked about the care they have received.  The test is part of a  way of gathering patient feedback and driving improvement in NHS hospital services across the country. To find out more about the Friends and Family Test click here.
