Respiratory consultants specialise in disorders relating to the lungs. These disorders are diagnosed after investigations are carried out, such as pulmonary function tests and/or bronchoscopy. The consultants interpret the results of these investigations to guide treatment which is commonly delivered through the use of drugs, such as inhalers.
