Medical Matron
Felicity Archer, Matron, Medical division
Matron – Felicity Archer has worked at WVT since 1992, where she started working on Intensive Care. After many enjoyable years in ITU including opportunity for career development and progression Felicity was ward sister for a cardiac and respiratory ward and has now progressed further to Matron of the medical division.
WVT feels like a community – we all know and support each other.
Felicity who is in charge of around 40 nurses and healthcare assistants says: "I absolutely love my job. I work with a fantastic team of doctors and nurses whose main focus is provision of a positive patient experience”. Felicity is particularly proud of the implementation of a high care acute Non Invasive Ventilation service on the ward.
Felicity added: "There are good opportunities to undertake courses and develop your skills and career. The Trust feels like a community – we all know and support each other".
