Relaxation is key in labour, as this can help you release more oxytocin - the love hormone which helps labour progression. The use of aromatherapy in labour and birth has been found to reduce the need for stronger forms of pain relief. Herefordshire Speech and Language therapy service can offer support for the following types of feeding, eating and swallowing difficulties: Ongoing Difficulties with bottle/breastfeeding Difficulties weaning onto solid foods Restricted diet/ extreme responses to food Swallowing difficulties associated with a range of medical and developmental conditions We cannot offer support for eating difficulties which are purely behavioural in origin. However, these can be difficult to distinguish from other types of feeding difficulty and so assessment may be appropriate to establish the nature of the eating difficulty and identify alternative sources of support if necessary. Where to go when you arrive at hospital Patients are asked to report to the reception area indicated on their appointment letter. Patients attending appointments in Oxford Suite, Eign Suite and Audiology please check in at the main reception at the front entrance to Hereford County Hospital. When you receive a letter, giving you information of the date and time of your appointment, it should state which reception area that you need to attend.
