Orthopaedics

The Trauma and Orthopaedic Department at Wye Valley NHS Trust assesses and treats disorders of bone, joint, muscle, tendon, ligaments and nerves. This includes fractures, arthritis and sports injuries.

The department

Outpatient services consist of twelve consultant surgeon teams, which include, specialist registrars, staff grade and middle grade surgeons and an orthopaedic physiotherapist practitioner (upper limb/spinal).  The plaster room is also located within orthopaedic outpatients.  We work closely with the physiotherapy and occupational therapy units.

Orthopaedic inpatients are seen and stay on Teme ward.
