Wound Review Clinic

The Trust runs a Wound Review Clinic at the County Hospital site.

The clinic provides a post-operative wound dressing service – the removal of stitches and sutures.

It is based in the mobile unit at the front of the County Hospital site – patients are asked to check in for appointments at the main hospital reception desk.

The clinic is open from 8.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday.

Patients are referred to the service when they are discharged. They will be given a form which includes their relevant medical information and will be asked to telephone the Referral Management Centre to book an appointment to have sutures/stiches removed.

The number for the Referral Centre is 01432 257810.

Paediatric and Maternity patients will not be referred to the service.

Paediatric patients will be seen at Gaol Street.
