Where to go when you arrive at hospital Patients are asked to report to the reception area indicated on their appointment letter.  Patients attending appointments in Oxford Suite, Eign Suite and Audiology please check in at the main reception at the front entrance to Hereford County Hospital. When you receive a letter, giving you information of the date and time of your appointment, it should state which reception area that you need to attend. The Trust runs a Wound Review Clinic at the County Hospital site. The clinic provides a post-operative wound dressing service – the removal of stitches and sutures. It is based in the mobile unit at the front of the County Hospital site – patients are asked to check in for appointments at the main hospital reception desk. The clinic is open from 8.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday. Patients are referred to the service when they are discharged. The Trust offers video consultations to some of our patients, as appropriate. The decision to offer this type of appointment will be made by a medical professional depending on your individual care needs. Video consultations are easy to use and are often more convenient for our patients. The Podiatry department provides care to patients who have a significant foot condition and a relevant medical history.  Many of these patients require ongoing treatment. We aim to keep patients feet healthy and pain free, thereby enable patients to remain mobile, independent and active for as long as possible. We treat a wide range of, mainly painful, foot conditions and aim to identify the cause and, where possible, seek a resolution. If you had a planned caesarean section then you will need to stay in hospital for at least 24 hours after your baby is born. If you had an emergency caesarean then you will more likely stay in hospital for 48 hours.
