Back to Cardiac Services Rapid Cardiology is a cardiology clinic for patients newly referred for early assessment and investigation of symptoms including chest pain/discomfort, breathlessness and palpitations. The clinics are led by cardiology nurse specialists and cardiology clinical assistants. Patients are assessed and may have further tests such as ECGs, echocardiograms, ambulatory/ECG monitoring or exercise tolerance tests (this is where patients walk on an exercise treadmill with heart and blood pressure monitoring) and myoview scans. Herefordshire Speech and Language therapy service can offer support for the following types of feeding, eating and swallowing difficulties: Ongoing Difficulties with bottle/breastfeeding Difficulties weaning onto solid foods Restricted diet/ extreme responses to food Swallowing difficulties associated with a range of medical and developmental conditions We cannot offer support for eating difficulties which are purely behavioural in origin. Where to go when you arrive at hospital Patients are asked to report to the reception area indicated on their appointment letter. Patients attending appointments in Oxford Suite, Eign Suite and Audiology please check in at the main reception at the front entrance to Hereford County Hospital.
