Blossom and Lavender RoomFunded through our Charity ‘The Born Sleeping Appeal’ at Hereford County Hospital we have a specially designed home from home suite called the Blossom Suite. Here you can be cared for after birth and spend time with your baby should you wish.
Set apart from the maternity department we have a private room called the Lavender Room that can be used for counselling or follow up appointments.

The Neurology Department in The County Hospital consists of two Consultant Neurologists who visit The County Hospital from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.
Dr Clinton Mitchell (Clinical Lead) – works remotely for 5 weeks off-site then on-site face to face every 6th week
Dr Shanika Samarasekera (Visiting Consultant from QEHB) – Wednesdays (twice monthly).
Dr Aamir Ijaz – (Locum) - works remotely Monday & Tuesday. On-site Wednesday and Thursday.

The Paediatric department (Children's ward) provides inpatient and outpatient treatment of medical and surgical conditions, in children from birth up to the seventeenth birthday. The Children's ward deals with medical conditions and also provides facilities for many surgical specialties. The majority of children needing surgery can be treated in Hereford. However, surgery in young children (generally under two years of age) and specialist surgery is referred to a specialist Children’s hospital, usually Birmingham. The doctors in the department are also obstetricians and so work closely with the midwives in the maternity department.
