Voluntary services can provide you with extra information about stroke and support locally in Herefordshire.

  • Age UK: a local charity supporting older people, their families and carers.
  • Carers support: Supporting carers to think about their own needs and plan action for change.
  • Halo: Herefordshire leisure centre and swimming pool information.
  • Headway: Charity site: provides information and support for people of all ages affected by Brain Injury including Stroke.
  • Memory support: Memory Cafés are a comfortable, social gathering that allow people experiencing memory loss and a loved one to connect, socialise, make new friends, and build support networks.
  • Singing for the brain: Alzheimer’s society can offer information and support including local groups.
  • Stroke Association
  • Technology support: Ability Net empowers disabled and older people to use technology at home, at work and in education.
  • Vision links: a local charity dedicated to helping those with visual impairments.
