The Neurophysiology department at The County Hospital provides a comprehensive neurophysiology diagnostic service to both inpatients and outpatients. Investigations include EEG (Electroencephalogram), Ambulatory EEG, Multiple Sleep Latency Testing and Evoked Responses. The service also provides physiologist and consultant led nerve conduction studies and consultant only electromyography (EMG). We accept GP referrals for most of our investigations.  All GP referrals can now be made via the NHS e-referral system. The department consists of a Service Manager, Consultant Neurophysiologist, 2 Clinical Physiologists, a Medical Secretary and an Administrative Assistant. Back to Orthopaedics The orthotics department offers assessment, advice and provision of orthoses, these are bodily devices applied in such a manner to reduce pain, improve function and mobility. The orthopeadic surgeon may suggest the use of an orthotic as part of your treatment. Orthoses include: callipers insoles special footwear spinal ankle and knee braces beltshosiery collars fracture bracing post operative splinting Orthotics is based in the Therapy Services department at Hereford County Hospital.   The administration team can be contacted on 01432 372934 or orthotics.wvt@nhs.net     
The Dietetic Department provides services to patients in The County Hospital and Community Hospitals. We provide a full range of diagnostic services to all of Herefordshire together with some areas of Powys, Shropshire and Monmouthshire. Patients are referred to the department from a variety of sources such as GPs, hospital wards, clinics and the Accident and Emergency department. All patients and visitors to this department must use the designated A&E entrance. Introduction The Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) department provides diagnostic and treatment facilities for a wide range of ear, nose and throat diseases. Outline of the department The department consists of four consultants who provide services between Hereford and Worcester.
