The orthotics department offers assessment, advice and provision of orthoses, these are bodily devices applied in such a manner to reduce pain, improve function and mobility.

The orthopeadic surgeon may suggest the use of an orthotic as part of your treatment.

Orthoses include:

  • callipers
  • insoles
  • special footwear
  • spinal
  • ankle and knee braces
  • beltshosiery
  • collars
  • fracture bracing
  • post operative splinting

Orthotics is based in Eign Suite near the orthopaedic and fracture clinic at Hereford County Hospital.
