The County Hospital children's ward has been transformed into a colourful magical wonderland thanks to a local artist. Nurses on the children's ward, inspired by the work of local artist, Tom Roberts, fundraised for the design of a mural, to create a welcoming, familiar, and colourful environment for the children they care for. As you progress further along into your pregnancy you may begin to think about labour and have an image of how you would like events to go.  Labour and birth is unique to each person, every experience will be different and the more you know about it, the more involved and in control of your birth you will feel.   This section is full of information about labour and birth, it aims to tool you with knowledge to equip you to make informed decisions about your care.

Back to Cardiac Services Rapid Cardiology is a cardiology clinic for patients newly referred for early assessment and investigation of symptoms including chest pain/discomfort, breathlessness and palpitations. The clinics are led by cardiology nurse specialists and cardiology clinical assistants. Patients are assessed and may have further tests such as ECGs, echocardiograms, ambulatory/ECG monitoring or exercise tolerance tests (this is where patients walk on an exercise treadmill with heart and blood pressure monitoring) and myoview scans. We provide a full range of diagnostic services to all of Herefordshire together with some areas of Powys, Shropshire and Monmouthshire. Patients are referred to the department from a variety of sources such as GPs, hospital wards, clinics and the Accident and Emergency department.
