Referral to general podiatry is through your GP or other Healthcare Professional. The service will triage referrals taking into account your medical history, foot condition and level of pain, prioritising those patients with greatest need. Nail surgery is available to patients from 12 years upwards. Children biomechanics available to children aged 8-17 years. We work to the 18 week referral to treatment time. Urgent referrals are given priority and seen in the next available clinic. Urgent referrals to the Podiatric Specialist in Diabetes are usually seen within 3 days. My name is Elaine Taylor and I am a Sonographer working in the Radiology department. I started working at the Trust in August 2005. I had just qualified as a Diagnostic Radiographer at Birmingham City University. Service Overview The service aims to actively promote bladder and bowel continence. We are able to identify and assess patients, give advice and best management for their incontinence needs, helping to improve their quality of life. The service provides clinical assessment, advice and support for patients and their families. We work closely with GPs, district nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, the dementia team, mental health, social services and care agencies to ensure a seamless service is provided. As much as mother’s can be affected by the life changing event of pregnancy, birth and a baby, parenthood for the partner can also bring a variety of feelings which can include depression and/or anxiety. This is sometimes referred to as paternal depression. Having a baby can change the dynamic of your relationship and increase financial pressure.
